Fraud Alert Enhancements
FedChoice is pleased to announce SecureLOCK Communicate
SecureLOCK Communicate is a newly launched fraud alert management service for your debit and credit cards that you have with FedChoice. It is designed to provide you with the opportunity to interactively engage in fraud protection and detection strategies as well as helping to decrease fraud losses.
SecureLOCK Communicate includes real-time, two-way SMS texts for quicker fraud identification and prevention, as well as interactive voice and email fraud notifications if no response is received by text or phone.
Here is an example of the alert message:
FreeMsg: FedChoice Federal Credit Union: Suspicious txn on acct 1111: $201.99 STORE. If authorized reply YES, otherwise reply NO. To Opt Out reply STOP.
If you reply YES, the case will be closed as not fraud and you will receive the following response:
FreeMsg: FedChoice Federal Credit Union: Thank you for confirming this activity. Your account is safe for continued use. To Opt Out reply STOP.
If the reply is NO, the Automated Call System will generate an outbound call to the cardholder during available calling hours. The cardholder will be asked security questions to ensure their identity and the call will then be transferred to a Fraud Alert Specialist.
Please note: this service is free to our members however, if you do not have a cell phone with unlimited texting, you may be subject to a charge by your cell phone provider, if you go over the standard number of text messages associated with your plan.
