Chip Technology in All Replacement Cards!

We’re excited our new credit cards with chips are rolling out to our members. As your current card expires, expect your replacement to have a chip imbedded within it! Here’s a quick rundown on how to use your new card for purchases once it arrives.

  1. Insert your card “chip first” into a chip-enabled reader. When using your chip card, the card will remain in the terminal throughout the entire transaction.
  2. Follow all of the prompts on the reader and wait for the transaction to be completed. It may take longer than you were used to when swiping your card! The reader may also ask for your PIN or signature to complete the transaction.
  3. Remove your card after the transaction is complete, when you’re prompted to do so by the reader.
  4. REMEMBER TO TAKE YOUR CARD!

Not every store has a chip card reader yet! You may continue to find yourself swiping your card when paying for your purchases.
