FedChoice Partners with FEEA to Support a Fundraising Campaign
The Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund, commonly known as FEEA, is the only non-profit organization devoted solely to helping federal civilian and postal employees and their families. This charity provides scholarships and emergency financial help to those in need. With the furloughs that have taken place the last few months, FEEA has been overwhelmed by requests for loans from federal employees who have been personally impacted by the effects of reduced paychecks at a time when benefit costs are rising and pay freezes have been in-place for three years.
FEEA recently provided more than $350,000 in furlough-related loans to those facing reduced paychecks due to sequestration. As a result of the demand for this emergency support, FEEA is now unable to continue to offer these loans until their resources have been replenished.
Here is where FedChoice comes in! From October 1, 2013 through October 31, 2013, FedChoice will be conducting a fundraising campaign on behalf of FEEA. And with every contribution received, FedChoice will match the amount collected up to $5,000.00! That means, if we raise $5,000.00, FedChoice will contribute an additional $5,000.00 for a grand total of $10,000.00! We encourage you to support this worthy cause.
To make a donation, you may contribute directly to FEEA using the exclusive FedChoice web page which has been set up on the FEEA website - feea.org/FedChoice. Or, you may make a contribution at any of our Financial Service Centers or by mailing a contribution to our Financial Advisory Center.
