Fedchoice Federal Credit Union - Altogether Better

2014 Scholarship Opportunity

Your Words or Pictures Could Be Worth a Cool $1,000!

Deadline: March 31, 2014

Are you or a family member headed off to college in 2014? Well, FedChoice is pleased to announce a college scholarship opportunity that may make it easier for you to pay for these expenses. The $12,000 Credit Union College Scholarship Program for 2013 is underway now! The Credit Union Foundation of MD & DC, the sponsor of this program, will award ten $1,000 essay-based scholarships and one $1,000 video-based scholarship and one $1,000 photo-based scholarship to the winning applicants in May of 2014.

This year’s video and essay topic is: “What can you do to help yourself become financially literate?” Shutterbugs are asked to capture an original photograph that represents a credit union core value. Examples of those values are provided on the Foundation’s scholarship webpage. Any member of FedChoice Federal Credit Union who is entering their freshmen through senior year of college may apply. “We’re pleased to offer this opportunity for our young members,” noted Kevin Roland, Delivery Channels Director of FedChoice FCU. “The awardees receive needed financial assistance to help them meet their tuition expenses and the essay and video topics provoke innovative and useful responses to help us better serve our college-aged members. And the applicants learn a little more about our credit union.”

This scholarship is made possible by the Credit Union Foundation of MD & DC.

Applications and complete details on the College Scholarship Program may be found by visiting the Foundation's website.
